Joining Fineline at the start of 2026 Carl brings extensive experience in construction and energy efficiency. His abilities in management accompanied by his technical expertise make him a natural fit for a newly established Retrofit Compliance Manager role within the business.

Carl has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years and complements his hands-on practical knowhow with several academic qualifications, including diplomas in Retrofit Coordination, Risk Management, Domestic Energy Assessment and Energy Efficiency Measures for Older and Traditional Buildings. Having worked for a large national retrofit contractor prior to joining the FAD team, he knows the intricacies of retrofit and complying with both PAS2030 and 2035 having been responsible for compliance across his former employer’s national portfolio of installations for compliance.

Outside of work, Carl values maintaining a healthy work–life balance. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, and often takes on DIY projects around the house, finding satisfaction in building and improving things with his own hands.
